Matching the tape construction to the bag material helps ensure stable bonding, smooth machine operation and reliable repeated sealing.

Check the Bag Film

Confirm whether the bag is made from PE, PP or OPP film. Film thickness, additives and surface treatment can affect adhesive performance, so the same tape may behave differently on different bags.

Select the Correct Adhesive Position

Resealable tape is available with left, right or center adhesive positioning. The correct direction depends on the bag-making machine, folding direction and the position of the bag flap.

Choose the Release-Liner Performance

Standard PE liners are suitable for general production. Light-peel liners are easier and quieter to remove, while anti-static liners help prevent the release film from sticking to bags, equipment or operators.

Confirm the Roll Format

Pancake rolls are suitable for sampling and smaller production runs. Long-length spool rolls are better for continuous automatic bag-making lines because they require fewer roll changes.

A plastic bag manufacturer needed a resealable tape that was easier and quieter to peel during manual packing. After testing the customer’s PE and PP films, bag-making process and adhesive direction, we recommended a light-peel resealable bag sealing tape with a customized adhesive width.
